I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! I've been telling all my friends and my parents for awhile now, and I'm sure they're tired of it.

But I can't contain myself!
ME TOO!!!!!!!! Seriously, I just wish she'd put up like a myspace profile with some demos or something already! I'm getting so impatient! :D
I was just thinking the SAME THING when I read the myspace bulletin! The fans should start a petition for one!
Haha, and who would the petition go to? Adie? It's not like she's exactly easy to get ahold of these days... :P
Well...that's true...but you know, it's the thought that counts!
If only the thought would actually get some songs of hers up!
OMGosh!!! I did not know she was coming out with a solo album! BLAH, I feel like the worst fan. I haven't looked at the community for a while, cause I figured that she wouldn't do anything. But I looked again tonight, and I just about screamed and fell out of my chair. WOOOOOOH!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!
:D Me neither!!! I'm not as surprised as I could be, though... I mean, with her talent, and her heart for the Lord, I'm not surprised she is back in business, but it still doesn't make it any less exciting or much-anticipated!
Yes, that's a good point. I'm excited cause I didn't know if she would do a solo album or not. But in a way I'm not surprised, cause she's such an awesome singer!

I've just been sitting here now making some icons for me to use, and listening to The Benjamin Gate!

I'm going to Acquire the Fire in May, and Jeremy Camp is going to be at it. I wonder if Adie will too??
Oooh, I'd guess she might be, since she tends to tour with him... but at the same time, you never know... she might be doin her own thing, recording and finishing her album and whatnot... and she is very pregnant now, too. Anyway, yes, this news also made me want to listen to The Benjamin Gate more than usual! ^_^
Yes yes!! Oohh, I hope she's there. But yeahh, I know she's pregnant and all. I still want to meet her someday though. I never did get to see TBG when they were together. *major sadness*

But at least I can say I was a fan right from the beginning. It's kinda a funny story how I found out about TBG. I was at a post-concert signing thing, and I was talking to Tree63, and they had TBG's gas mask sticker on the table, and I was like, "what's that?" And so the one guy told me it was a new band, and said I could have the sticker (and on the back was a coupon to get $2 off the cd - which wasn't even out yet). And like, then I heard All Over Me a little while later, and as soon as the cd came out, I snatched it up, and have been loving it ever since!

Err...I'm blabbing. Once I get started talking about music, I tend to ramble.
Aw, what stopped you from seeing them in concert?? I fell in love with their music for the first time when I saw them at Festival Con Dios in 2001. After that I got "All Over Me" straight away and it was in my CD player for weeks... and more weeks after that, haha. I saw them in a total of 5 concerts, I think... I worked merch for them at Spirit West Coast, which was the most memorable of all of the concerts I've seen them in, cos I got to hang out with Thux & Recah and find out gory details about the band and their songs, etc. ^_^ Anyway... yeah, I'm the same way when you get me talking about music, especially TBG. :D
Well, back then I couldn't drive, and my dad hates driving/traveling. I didn't have any way to get to go see them. I dunno if they gave any concerts in PA besides Creation or Purple Door (I'm sure they played at one or the other).

Ohhhh mannn, that is sooo unfair (but unbelievably awesome)!! I always thought working a merch stand would be a cool thing to do.

But with Adie releasing a solo cd and all...she's gotta tour, right? At some point...and then! THEN I will get to meet her! YEAH! I still have a chance to see her sing!

Do you have all their cds? I would bet you do, cause of your name. I was never able to get the Spinning Head EP, but I've managed to get the Demo EP (along with Untitled and Contact.

Huh, looking on JesusFreakHideout.com, it says there's also comeputyourheadupinmyheart and the Contact pre-release with slightly different mixes. Blah, now that's even more stuff I have to find.
Yep, I've got all of the above. If you'd like, I can upload 'em and link you to 'em. I was already planning to do that for someone else anyway.
Omgosh, you'd do that??? That would be so awesome! I've been looking for the Spinning Head EP everywhere, and I just can't find it. I know I saw it on Ebay once, but it went for a lot (and I didn't have any money at the time). If I ever do see it again though, I'm gonna grab it (and everything else I can find). I'm that way with Rebecca St. James (my other all-time favorite singer). My room is plastered with her stuff. I could only ever find a really small TBG poster. How sad!

Humm...these new pics of Adie are so pretty! I just wish I had Photoshop or something, so I could make better icons. Such nice pics deserve some really great icons. Oh well! I have to make due with what I have, I suppose!

Do you mind if I add you? You've been so nice to me, listening to my rambling and all! :P
Hehe, course not! It's always great to make friends with other fans. ^_^ It's no problem at all to upload these. I've already gotten started! By the way, if you look at my icons (if you can still see all of them; my subscription expired today) you should see quite of Adie... if you'd like to take 'em, you can, just credit of course. ^_~
Awesome! (I've said that way too much on this page.)

Wow, really? I can't wait to hear them. Do you have the Pre-release of Contact too? Are the mixes a lot different, or just a little? I have a pre-release tape of RSJ's song Pray and there's one spot in it that's different than the released song. I love having all the different versions of songs I like.

You know, I did look at your icons earlier, but there are only six. I saw that you had other Adie/TBG icons on this page, but they weren't showing up on your icon page. I was wondering why...but now it makes sense!
Gah, yeah... for Lent I'm giving up spending any money on anything I don't absolutely need, so the paid account falls under that category. -_-

Yes, I have the pre-release of Contact... the only two songs that are different are "Lift Me Up" and "The Way You Are"... "Lift Me Up" isn't a LOT different, but the differences are noticeable enough. "The Way You Are" is a lot different in that it lasts a lot longer and has a section that was completely taken out in the newer version.

I'm going to post an entry in this community with links to all of the songs I'm uploading, but here is the first song I've uploaded... it doesn't want to upload "The Way You Are" for some reason... I'm gonna keep trying!

Lift Me Up

I also have a CD with "The Calling" and "Do What You Say" on it, with different versions that were made for the radio (read: shortened versions, with fade-outs and such) but the exciting part of this CD is that it has Adrienne explaining the two songs and it also has an open-ended interview with Adie. I'm not going to bother uploading the songs from this CD since they're pretty much what you would hear on the radio anyway and there's nothing that different about them, but I can upload the interview tracks. There are also tons of tracks on it of Adie saying "Hi, this is Adrienne from The Benjamin Gate, and you're listening to [such-and-such radio station]"... she did those little "liners" for TONS of radio stations. I don't find those particularly exciting, and I don't even think I listened to all of them, lol. There are like 60 of them. Anyway, that's about all I've got, other than the various artists CDs that have songs by TBG on them or with Adrienne singing on them... so yeah. ^_^
Ahhh, wow, that's so cool. Where did you find all these cds? Ebay? Wow, thanks for the link (I'm listening to it now)! How exciting (I'm such a nerd)! Thank you so much for doing this. I totally owe you! If you ever need a song, lemme know, and I'll look for you!

Oh wow, that is so awesome!! I have a couple promo/radio cds of RSJ that has different fade-outs and things. I find them pretty cool, but I don't really listen to the whole thing either, since they're all sorta the same song (just with minor changes).

TBG is going to shoot up on my listening charts. I belong to Last.fm where a plug-in in my winamp keeps track of everything I listen to. I've been listening to a lot of Barlowgirl and RSJ over the weekend, and now I've been listening to TBG nonstop since I read this lj entry. I don't think I have the Demo EP ripped to my computer though. I should go do that!
I bought the Spinning Head EP and comeputyourheadupinmyheart from Thux himself, by emailing him, way back in the day, asking him if there were any lying around he could sell me. I bought 'em both together for $40 including shipping from SA, so I figured that was a good deal. :D The other rare CDs I have, I did get on ebay, though I know that at least my Extreme Days radio promo CD came from Thux, when he was selling those on ebay. Yeah... he did some things I'm not going to talk about here, but anyway. There's an alleged Scandinavian release of Contact that I don't have, but that's all I know of that (might) exist that I don't have of theirs. I only have heard about this CD from Rob Wolfe, though, and I have never seen or heard of it elsewhere. He's a good source, though, so chances are somewhere out there it exists. Living in the US it's not exactly easy tracking it down, though, lol.
Oh wow, that is so awesome!! That was like, a once in a lifetime thing! O_O

Oh and I forgot to mention: if you have Demographics, then you have most of what's on the Spinning Head EP, and you have one song that's on comeputyourheadupinmyheart. There are at least two songs on Demographics that don't appear on any other CD they ever made, too, so that's pretty awesome as well... ^_^

By the way, I'm on msn if you want to chat instead of just commenting back and forth here... decemberflower83@hotmail.com ^_~

Hmm, I also just remembered I have the remixes of "All Over Me" that are on the Extreme Days radio promo CD... it's lying around somewhere... I have the messiest room, though, so I'll have to look a bit for that. I'm not crazy about the remixes, but they are quite different, anyway.
Oh really! Well, of course I'd love to hear them, but you don't rush or anything. Do let me know though if you ever find the cd! :3

I'm really goofy with my cd collection. I have them all on a shelf, in alphabetical order (I told you I was a music nerd!!). *haha* Although I do have a lot of junk shoved under my bed...my cds though, are too special to just throw them anywhere! XD
Yeah, they're cool to hear at least a couple times... some of them get really long, though, and all three sound about the same as each other. They're very R&B compared to The Benjamin Gate's normal sound, which is what bugs me a bit about them. I don't think The Benjamin Gate had a lot of say in what they were going to sound like, since they were made for the movie and all... I know Thux hated them, anyway.
